Every piece on this program represents an important part of the Lake Geneva Symphony Orchestra’s mission. The season-long Symphonic Journey continues with Mendelssohn’s stunning Symphony No. 5 – also called “Reformation.” Dozens of string players from area high schools will join the orchestra in a side-by-side performance of Finlandia by Sibelius. Aurelia Meyer, winner of the 2024 Young Artist Competition and current LGSO Fellow, will perform the first movement of Haydn’s C Major Cello Concerto. The concert will open with the beautiful and dramatic Overture to The Song of Hiawatha, by the late-nineteenth-century composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.

Tickets are available online until noon on April 5. Tickets will be available at the door with payment by cash or credit card. Ticketholders will be listed on a registry on the day of the concert.
