Calling all menders to International Mend in Public Day! Bring your mending, a chair (or two) and a friend and come and mend with us outside of H & M; then join us for a BYO picnic lunch at the State library. See you there!
With over 92 million tons of textiles going to waste each year, there is a real need to find new ways of reducing waste. This event is part of Fashion Revolution Week and is the 12th Anniversary of the Rana Plaza Disaster in which hundreds of poorly paid and oppressed textile workers were killed in the name of fast fashion.
