About this Event
Objects hold meaning; a simple object can mean the world to one person and nothing to another. It’s the memories that are placed upon our things; sentimental value we put on moments. Come with your precious and “fleeting” objects, they may include flowers that you have saved, collected shells, sand or dirt, or bones. In this class you will learn the fundamentals of flameworking how to shape glass using heat and gravity with tubes and rods while encasing unique objects. Use your new knowledge to create results of wind chimes and jewelry. We will have a 30 to 40 minute demo at the beginning of the class and the rest is worktime!
What to Expect: Read more about how to prepare for class on our Registration Info page.
Eligibility: No previous experience required. Open to ages 14 and up.
Pick-up: The glass will need to be in a kiln at least overnight, so the students will have to return to UrbanGlass once notified to pick up their work.
This is an in-person class taking place on-site at UrbanGlass. Health and safety guidelines will be emailed to you upon registration.
