Memorial Services for former East Orange Mayor Robert Bowser set for May 7, at Cicely L. Tyson School of Performing Arts.
Memorial Services Celebrating the Life and Legacy of former East Orange Mayor Robert L. Bowser, who passed on April 2, at 86 years of age, will be held on Saturday, May 7, 11:00 a.m. at the Cicely L. Tyson Community School of fine and performing arts, 35 Winans Street, East Orange, New Jersey 07017. The public is invited, however, due to limited seating capacity, registration is required by visiting: www.HonorableRLBowser.eventbrite.com.

As the 12th Mayor, Bowser was the longest serving African American Mayor in city history having served with distinction for four terms. He is credited with fostering the city’s economic recovery and resurgence.
