Our mission at She's the V.E.T. is to Serve, Honor, and Elevate, the female veterans who have come before us and will come after us. This year, we have decided to honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice by bringing back the Memorial Day Run to Remember 5K to downtown Owensboro. It is a 3.1 mile out and back course that you can walk, ruck, or run at your own pace. There will also be a Mayor's Mile walk and Kids Fun Run.
Although there will be T-shirts for run/walk participants, commemorative ruck patches for the ruck division, and medals for placing in your age group, this race is about our community coming together to remember those we've lost. We hope you will mark your calendars for Monday, May 25th and join us!
Lace up. Shoulder the weight. Walk with intention. Run to Remember — because freedom is never free.
