(1) Ride Around the Lake: 10 miles. Continue riding around the lake after riders leave Lake Hefner on Britton Rd. Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/55201688 Pace 10 mph
(2) Short Route to Piedmont: 34 miles (https://ridewithgps.com/routes/50855432) Riders will arrive in Piedmont at 10:15 AM. Pace 15 mph
(3) Piedmont to Okarche: 36 miles (https://ridewithgps.com/routes/55193088) Park on South side of Casey’s Store or at Piedmont Elementary School. Riders will arrive in Piedmont at 10:15 AM and leave for Okarche at 10:45 AM. Pace 15 mph
(4) Lake Hefner to Okarche: 70 miles (https://ridewithgps.com/routes/50855360) Riders will arrive in Okarche at 11:45 AM. Pace 15 mph
FASTER RIDERS are welcome to ride ahead!
BONUS TAILWIND RIDE OPTION: If you can make your own arrangements, drop off a car with bike rack in Okarche before the ride and only ride one way, hopefully with tailwind from southeast!
The “Texas 4000” Fight Against Cancer cyclists from University of Texas are riding 4,000 miles from Austin TX to Anchorage AK. We will ride with them on their way from Oklahoma City to Watonga. Various distances available.
NOTE: SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT! Observe group riding safety. We don’t want to risk the safety of the students as they pursue their noble cause.
