Join us in Los Angeles, California as we partner with our good friends at the Philosophical Research Society—founded by mystic and occultist Manly P. Hall—to celebrate the release of Morbid Anatomy Founder and Creative Director Joanna Ebenstein’s new book Memento Mori: Contemplating Death to Live a Better Life!
Saturday, September 7, attend a day-long symposium exploring the idea of memento mori—Latin for “remember you will die”—on PRS’s beautiful 1930s Mayan revival campus, a designated Los Angeles historical landmark.
Stick around for a Danse Macabre afterparty where you can meet like-minded morbids—over drinks!—and enjoy thematic music and performances. Sunday, September 8, engage in offsite experiences including a Death Cafe at the iconic Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
We very much hope to see you at this exciting, enlightening—and, perhaps paradoxically, life-affirming—event, where we will explore how the contemplation of death can enrich our lives and inspire a deeper appreciation for the present moment.
