An Exclusive Online Talk for Members of the Ashmolean
Booking is essential
With Professor Eleanor Standley, Associate Professor of Later Medieval Archaeology and Curator of Medieval Archaeology
The Ashmolean is proud to be a partner venue for the National Treasures displays in 2024 and is showcasing the Wilton Diptych in the England: 400-1600 Gallery over the summer from 10 May. As part of its 200th birthday celebrations, the National Gallery is loaning 12 paintings to venues around the UK.
In addition to a public lecture open to all, we are delighted to give members the chance to delve deeper into the historical context of this remarkable artwork through two additional member-only online events.
This lecture will focus on archaeological evidence from England that illuminates aspects of later medieval devotion and royalty.
The talk will be recorded, and the recording will be distributed to ticketholders following the event.
BOOKING
Tickets are £10. Tickets are only available to Ashmolean Members.
