Members' Dinner w/ Special Guest Speaker Charlie Lucia McLean

Join us for the August Members’ Dinner as we welcome Swedish Club Sponsorship recipent Charlie Lucia McLean.

Charlie McLean is a rising senior at the University of Washington double majoring in Communications and Swedish with minors in Scandinavian Area Studies and Business Administration. Originally from Los Angeles, her mother is from Linköping, Sweden, and she grew up with a passion for her Swedish heritage.

After graduation, she intends to work in the music industry. She is currently an intern at Red Light Management in Seattle. In addition to her internship, she also works part-time at Scandinavian Specialties in Ballard. She served as Director of Recruitment for her sorority in her sophomore and junior years.

In addition to the Swedish Club Scholarship, she has recently been awarded the Peterson Family Scholarship from the Scandinavian Studies Department and the Patricia Cranston Creativity in Communication Scholarship from the Communication Department, both for the 2025 spring quarter.

Harvest Bowl: Swedish-Inspired Salad Bar

Our salad bar offers a curated spread of fresh, seasonal produce, grains, pickled delicacies, and artisan cheeses. Think crisp cucumber ribbons, roasted beets with dill, tangy cheese, and house-pickled red onions—all served with elegant restraint and Nordic charm. Dinner includes rustic breads and dessert.

Bar opens at 5 PM, check-in & dinner starts at 6 PM, with the speaker starting at 6:30 PM. Member's meeting following the speaker’s presentation.
