Please join us as we our new Community Gallery exhibition, The Amplification Project: Women Artists of the Arab Diaspora (Detroit), featuring guest curator Biba Sheikh and a panel of contributing artists. Focusing on contemporary Arab women artists connected to Detroit, the exhibition explores migration, inheritance, and life between cultural geographies.
You and your guests are sure to enjoy this opportunity to reconsider art not simply as something to be viewed, but as a form of witness, a translation of survival and human understanding.
This event will feature traditional Middle Eastern fare and time to explore the rest of the museum. Member Mornings are appropriate for all ages!

- Coffee, tea, and pastries are served at morning receptions
- Parking for this event is complimentary (use the Detroit Historical Museum lot on Kirby Street)
