About this Event

Join us for an important and engaging community conversation! We are hosting a Member Briefing on the Reconnecting Communities Project to discuss the future of our downtown infrastructure. Your voice is essential as the Department of Transportation explores solutions for the "spaghetti bowl" interchange and reconnecting our neighborhoods.

The City of Norfolk is actively working to identify and plan solutions to address the 14-lane I-264 interchange that currently separates the St. Paul’s, Elizabeth River waterfront, and Norfolk State University neighborhoods from the core of downtown. This project aims to mitigate historical disparities and create a more unified, accessible, and thriving Norfolk for everyone.

Community input is central to finding the best path forward. The Department of Transportation and local stakeholders will be sharing updates and gathering your valuable feedback to help shape feasibility studies and future designs. Come share your thoughts and help us build a better connected city!
