Melody Makers: 4-week Kids Songwriting Workshop

Give your child the chance to explore their creativity in this fun and interactive four-week songwriting workshop led by Shannon Wurst! Perfect for kids ages 8–12, this workshop will teach the basics of songwriting, including rhyme, melody, and lyrics, while building confidence and encouraging self-expression.

Week 1: The Basics of Songwriting

Kids will dive into the essentials of what makes a great song and start brainstorming their own ideas.

Week 2: Creating Lyrics and Melody

Participants will learn how to craft meaningful lyrics and match them with simple, catchy melodies.

Week 3: Song Structure and Emotion

Children will discover how to shape their songs and use music to express their feelings and ideas.

Week 4: Sharing and Celebration

The workshop wraps up with a group showcase, where kids share their songs and celebrate their progress.
