About this Event

Melodic Little Sips began as a simple idea between friends: a space to slow down for a little while with good music and thoughtful coffee.

Over the past three gatherings, Goh and I have hosted these events in the evening. This time, we're trying something different: a Sunday morning session. We wanted to create an experience that's a little brighter and perhaps a little more relaxed.

Our little coffee band has grown; our friend Elaine will be joining us to help with table service and hospitality throughout the gathering of our music and sip event. Rather than standing in line or wondering what comes next, we want guests to simply sit down, relax, enjoy the music, and let us take care of the rest.

Melodic Little Sips is an opportunity for us to practice hospitality in a more personal way. We've been serving coffee for over ten years, but creating a small gathering like this allows us to slow down, connect with guests furthermore, and focus on the details that often get lost in busy coffee shop environments.

Throughout the morning, guitarist Goh Kurosawa will perform live while guests enjoy a thoughtfully curated three-course coffee tasting menu designed exclusively for this event by Regent Coffee owner Leon Nie.

This month's menu:

• Yunnan Peach Oolong, a delicate pour-over with notes of peach, oolong florals, and tea-like sweetness.

• After Bloom, a clarified coconut milk punch featuring Young Producers, an experimental Colombian coffee, layered with pear, vanilla, citrus, and smoked rose aroma.

• Red Bourbon Sour, a bright and silky coffee sour built around our barrel-aged Ethiopia Guji Gigesa, accented with yuzu, rose, hibiscus, and orange.

The first two beverages will be served at the beginning of the event, followed by a final beverage later in the morning as the experience unfolds.

This is not a formal tasting and not a concert; consider it a relaxed morning among friendly folks, with original soundscapes, thoughtful drinks, warm hospitality, and a chance to pause before the week begins.
