The 9th Annual Melissa's Race to Battle Brain Cancer is SO much more than another 5K.
This event is a FUNDRAISER benefiting ADVENT HEALTH CANCER INSTITUTE for brain cancer research. This event is in memory of Melissa Vosburg, a resident of Sanford and teacher at Midway Elementary School, who was lost to brain cancer in 2013 and hosted by Melissa Vosburg, Inc.
Melissa's Story

YOUTH PRICING:
Registrants aged 14 and under can participate at a discount. The Youth 5K price is $25. This will be priced automatically based on the age of the participant.
PACKET PICKUP & WALK UP REGISTRATION
Thursday, May 2nd, 4p-7p and Friday, May 3rd, noon-6p at Deviant Wolfe Brewing, Sanford
Saturday, May 4th from 6a at Registration Tent, Civic Center Park, Sanford, FL.

6:00a Registration and Packet Pickup Opens
6:30a National Anthem & Opening Ceremony
7:00a Wave 1 Starts (Recommended for competitive runners)
7:05a Wave 2 Starts
7:10a Wave 3 Starts
7:15a Wave 4 Starts
8:15a Race ends
8:30a - 9:30a Closing Ceremony & Butterfly Release
AWARDS
In addition to a great cause - brain cancer research - Melissa's Race is also competitive!
Top overall male and female, top masters (>40) male and female, and top 3 male and female age groups will receive awards. Age groups include 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
CREATE or JOIN A TEAM
Begin the registration process and select "Create a Team" when prompted. You can also create your team as a fundraising team by selecting "Yes" when asked. To join a team, begin the registration process and select "Join a Team" when prompted. Choose the team you wish to join from the drop-down menu. Your team will automatically be set up as a Fundraising team. As an added incentive, your fundraising will enter you into a drawing for a Team prize.
