Melissa in De Nile Museum Meetups: The Smithsonian Museums

Join Melissa in De Nile to tour through the Egyptian collection throughout the Smithsonian Museums. There are three Smithsonian Museums that have Egyptian objects on display: National Museum of Asian (formerly the Freer-Sackler), the Natural History Museum, and the Luce Foundation Center in the American Art Museum.

All three are FREE museums. But we will be walking to all three of them in the order listed above. Most of our time will be spent at the Natural History Museum which has the largest on display Egyptian collection.

We will meet on the mall outside of the Smithsonian Metro stop, or inside the station if it is raining.

Melissa in De Nile is an Egyptologist, Archaeologist, and Museum Educator, teaching the world about Ancient Egyptian Art, Archaeology, and History on social media. She has her masters in Egyptian Art and Archaeology, with special interestes in the 18th Dynasty, The Amarna Period, Dogs of Ancient Egypt, and modern Egyptomania.
