**WE ALL COME FROM SOMEWHERE**
This October, MELI First Friday becomes HOMELAND, a celebration of the places, people, cultures, stories, and communities that shape who we are.
For some, home is a country. For others, it’s a city, neighborhood, family, ancestry, or community.
HOMELAND is about bringing those stories together.
Come represent where you’re from, learn something about someone else, and celebrate where we’re going together.
We all come from somewhere. We all carry culture. **We all belong here.**
**WHAT TO EXPECT AT FIRST FRIDAY AT THE MELI SHOWROOM**
From 7 to 11 PM, join us at the MELI showroom for an elevated night of culture, fashion, art, music, conversation, and community.
Expect global sounds, interactive experiences, raffle prizes and giveaways, select complimentary drinks, and a room full of people representing the places and experiences they call home.
The energy will be stylish, intimate, expressive, and unmistakably MELI.
**WHAT IS YOUR HOMELAND?**
Throughout the night, we’ll invite guests to answer one question:
**What is your homeland?**
Participants will have the opportunity to take a Polaroid portrait and share the place, culture, or community they call home.
Those portraits will come together as a growing visual map of the MELI community.
**Different origins. One room. Shared humanity.**
**REPRESENT YOUR HOMELAND**
Come representing home in whatever way feels authentic to you.
That might be through your style, colors, jewelry, fabric, family heritage, hometown, or story.
This is not a costume party.
Come expressive. Come elevated. Come as yourself.
**GLOBAL SOUNDS**
The soundtrack will move across cultures and generations.
Expect Afrobeats, Amapiano, Congolese sounds, Dancehall, Hip Hop, R&B, House, Latin sounds, diaspora records, and more.
The goal is simple:
Celebrate how different we are while recognizing how connected we already are.
