The Timber Yard will again play host to the Australian Craft Distillers at this romantic and rustic venue in the heart of Melbourne.
About this Event

All drinks are included in the price of the ticket and bottles are available for purchase and take home.

There will be live music and food trucks for when you take a break from tasting so gather a bunch of friends and make a day of it!

This is an over 18s event (18+) and we respectfully ask that guests do not bring children.

No entry without a ticket.

The event liquor license requires that the pouring of all alcohol must cease 15 minutes prior to the end of each session. You'll have time to finish your samples and purchase bottles before you make your way home!

Heaps Good Spirits Masterclass

Heaps Good Spirits is a small-batch distillery from Adelaide, bottling up bold local flavour with a cheeky twist.

At the Melbourne Gin Festival, founder Marcelle will be running a hands-on masterclass diving into the stories, botanicals and creative chaos behind their award-winning gins and liqueurs – think native ingredients and a whole lot of South Aussie spirit!

Four Friends Gin Masterclass

Join Four Friends master distiller Andy Kelsall as he steps you though the world of craft distilling in this hands-on masterclass. Learn how gin begins with the base spirit ethanol, and discover the art and science of making precise cuts to create a smooth, high-quality spirit. Along the way, you’ll enjoy a mini chemistry lesson, exploring the structures and roles of compounds like methanol and ethyl acetate—and why they matter in the distilling process. Perfect for curious minds and gin lovers alike, this session blends science, craft, and a dash of alchemy.

Willing Distillery Masterclass

Head Distiller, Dave Willing, will be talking about the challenges of being the most northern distillery in Australia. His very old school process of making gin, using Australian botanicals and in doing so will present his three most popular gins – AGA gold medal winning Kakadu Plum and Quandong Gin, Desert Lime Gin and Rosella Gin.

Together we will construct the perfect Gin and Tonic or Soda in this interactive, fun and intimate masterclass with no topic off the table – well almost.
