A phenomenal gentleman, public speaker, creative director, and spoken word artist who has been a staple in the Melanin Verses series since it started in 2021. We are delighted to be able to bring him to our stage every year to share and influence his BLACK EXCELLENCE to celebrate OUR WAY, with OUR PEOPLE, INTENTIONALLY!

Isaiah Thomas, I.T The Chosen One is a 4 Time Slam champ from Philadelphia and a Former inmate who despite serving over 8 years behind Pr*son walls has now become a Pr*son reform ACTIVIST by representing individuals impacted by incarceration among councilmen, and various Elected officials in the city of Philadelphia and throughout the city of Baltimore.

Isaish is a partner of the (Ascension coalition) a group of young creative activists that create socially responsible music to convey concrete solutions amongst various platforms and communities, including zealous Nonprofit organizations consisting of various attorneys throughout Los Angeles, Detroit, New York, Philly, District of Columbia that identify systematic issues within the judicial system.

Isaish is the host of a Men's Group "Brotherhood Beyond the Walls". He is a "Poetition" who speaks unapologetic truths with no permission. Isaish has performed for several different types of audiences young and old, including star actor Omari Hardwick, who starred in the hit show Power, and Laroyce Hawkins, starring in Chicago PD. He has shared stages with Black Ice, former host of Russell Simmons, and Def Poetry Jam.

In addition to Isaiah's role as a community advocate, performer, and poet, he has had the privilege to speak as a motivational speaker on behalf of the state attorney of Baltimore at the (Aim to B More program) which grants offenders of crimes a second chance at freedom rather than Solitary confinement.

He is the Founder and CEO of Art From the Heart Expérience Open Mic, where various creatives come to share their art and heart.

Ultimately Isaish's oath to the past, present, and future generations is "My why is bigger than me, My IT factor is as big as a tree with Strong Roots that convey Healthy Fruits, that WORLD can genuinely and continually as long as I live, unwrap the gifts and dreams that reside inside of me" - I.T.
