Join us for our New Years book exchange at Sugar Kane on Saturday, January 10th from 4 PM - 6:30 PM (reservations for large groups are only 2.5 hours).

Here are the next steps:

1. Reserve your spot via Eventbrite:

2. Complete the New Years book exchange questionnaire. It will be emailed to you once I've received your reservation.

3. Deadline to sign up is Saturday, December 27th.

4. You will be matched with someone by Monday, December 29th.

5. The spending limit is $60. Every gift box should include 1 book from your person's wishlist, 1-2 reading snacks and 1 bookish item.

If you had signed up for the Christmas Book Exchange, you will have to reserve your spot again.

If you already completed the questionnaire and nothing has changed, you will not have to complete another.

The Melanin Silent Reading Club is a social book club that meets the second Saturday of every month in Durham Region from 4 PM - 7 PM unless otherwise stated.

We also meet the fourth Saturday of every month on ZOOM for a reading sprint from 9 AM - 10:30 AM.

This book club is for Black women only.

You will get a chance to meet other book lovers like yourself, enjoy a meal, add a ton of books to your never ending book list and maybe get some uninterrupted reading time.
