MEL IRL: A Branding Workshop + Size-Inclusive Clothing Swap

MEL IRL is a two-day event for women building businesses, hosted at The Hub at Lacey. Friday is a branding workshop led by four marketing professionals. Saturday is a size-inclusive clothing swap. Come for one day or both.

Four women who work in marketing from four different angles teach one connected workshop on building a brand that actually holds together. The lineup:

opens with what branding actually is and why it matters. Her work is personal brand strategy, uncovering the story and clarity that make you worth following.

(Gig Harbor and Tacoma) covers bringing your brand to life visually through brand photography, headshots, and design built to make entrepreneurs look confident and show up boldly.

takes your brand digital, covering the platforms, Google presence, and online systems that carry your message.

& MEL (Marketing Ecosystem Lounge) closes with brand in real life. The storefront, the networking room, the way you show up in person, and how it all ties back to the work.

A live panel with all four follows, with your questions in the mix. The evening includes light bites, custom cocktails, and a workbook to keep!

This is real teaching from four people who do this for a living, not a sales pitch. You leave understanding what your brand has been saying and how to make it say what you mean.

Bring the pieces that no longer fit who you are becoming. Take home pieces that do!

Tables are sorted by clothing type, not by size, so every woman shops every table together. This is a size-inclusive swap. All bodies, all stages, all welcome!

How it works: bring up to 20 items total (clothing and accessories combined) in gently used condition, nothing with stains, holes, or heavy wear. Take home the same number you brought or fewer. Anything left at the end of the day is donated to a local women's workforce reentry organization.

DJ Daisy Jukes (Tyler Thrives) will be providing 'the vibe' both days. You get a keepsake shopping bag on the way in and an exit pack on the way out!
