About this Event

Join us for an immersive workshop on MEG experimentation and data analysis using the software MNE Python, hosted exclusively for the BCS community!

About the Workshop:

Following the success of our recent McGovern-MEGIN MEG symposium, we are continuing our MEGnificent Brain Discoveries series with a MEG Experimentation and Data Analysis Workshop! Learn how to collect and analyze MEG brain activity data effectively with MNE Python, a powerful open-source software!

Participant-Driven Experiment:

As part of the workshop, we invite interested participants to shape our demo experiment! This is a unique opportunity to pilot your ideas and conduct a real experiment in neuroscience! Submissions are welcomed until June 10th, and should include your PI group affiliation, background, and visual or short (<3 sec) auditory stimuli suitable for a ~1-hour event-related MEG experiment. One winning submission will be selected for the actual experiment and hands-on analysis. For more information and submission, contact [email protected].

Schedule:

· June 24, 10 am – 12 pm: MEG experimentation (Room 46-1147)

· June 25, 2 pm – 4:30 pm: Hands-on tutorial on MEG data analysis using MNE Python (Room 46-5165)

· June 25, 4:30 pm – 5 pm: Break (Pizza and refreshments)

· June 25, 5 pm – 6 pm: Continued hands-on tutorial (Room 46-5165)

Who Can Attend: This workshop is exclusively open to members of the MIT BCS community. Essential Python skills are recommended.

How to Register: Space is limited! Secure your spot by registering in this Eventbrite event.
