Megan Jean's Secret Family arrange lyrically-driven original songs with a focus on melodic riffs, soaring vocals, and a southern rock sensibility that has landed them coveted spots on NPR's Mountain Stage and most recently at '24 &'25's Delfest hosted by Del McCoury and Family. They have performed alongside Reverend Horton Heat, Fastball, Joan Osbourne, Jason Carter Band, and more. In 2023 they were awarded an artistic merit grant from the Maryland State Arts Council to record their debut full-length album PLOT, which was released in October of last year. Front woman and NYU's Tisch School of the Arts alumnus Megan Jean and her partner, electric banjo player Byrne Klay have been performing together for 20 years as Megan Jean and the KFB, appearing on the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage, PBS's Music Voyager, and Heartland Network's More Than The Music. They were the winners of Floydfest's On The Rise Competition.
Rachel May: Equal parts vulnerable as she is cheeky, Rachel May’s mystic soul-folk shines through a uniquely feminine lens. A classically trained singer from age 7, and a passionate, life-long songwriter, it’s no wonder her performances are both electrifying and endearing, with music that’s curious, exploratory, and poignant in each song’s unravelling of itself.
Josee Molavi brings evocative soul-jazz vocals to center stage in her genre-bending, artful sound-- inviting listeners into a sonic universe of alternative R&B, pop, and jazz, rooted in honest storytelling. Molavi & her five-piece band seamlessly groove through her dynamic discography. Molavi’s electric stage presence draws audiences into vibrant memoirs of heartbreak, travel, and soul-searching.
