As a souvenir of World Design Capital San Diego Tijuana 2024, architect and educator Megan Groth's book, "Places We Love: San Diego Tijuana", fits the bill. She'll share images from the book, talk about how it came about, and lead a rousing game of San Diego Tijuana Trivia inspired by the places in the book.
Megan Groth holds a Bachelor's of Biology from Pomona College, Master's of Architecture from the University of Washington, and a Master's of Sociology in City Design from the London School of Economics (LSE). She has been Practice Coordinator at Woodbury School of Architecture, where she taught professional practice at the Barrio Logan campus for 5 years until its closure this month.
In San Diego, Megan has championed design governance within city government, and is a founding organizer of the Transborder Association of Architectural Education. She was raised in Rancho Santa Fe and lives with her family in North Park – both places featured in the book. Copies will be available at the lecture, or can be purchased on the website, https://placeswelovesdtj.com/.
Come early for coffee. A $5.00 donation is suggested. More information at www.friendsofsdarch.com.
