Meeting the Oaks: Nature Walk and Meditation @ Irvine Regional Park

In the magical twilight at the end of a summer day, take a break from screens to meet some trees! The Coast Live Oak (Quercus Agrifola) anchors the coastal California ecosystem by providing food and habitat for hundreds of species, not to mention fertilizing the soil and redistributing groundwater for other plants. Irvine Regional Park is home to some of the oldest oaks in Orange County.

We will take an easy walk where we will see many oaks, feeding our intellect with facts about the trees and their place in the ecosystem. Then we will return to our starting place to grab our blankets and rest under the oaks with gentle breathwork and guided meditation, feeding our spirit with the subtle experience of stillness and observation. No prior knowledge of oak trees or meditation experience required!

This event is held every Tuesday from June 23-July 14. Drop in for a single session, or sign up for all four to deepen your connection. Dress in layers, and bring water plus blanket or chair to sit on. Meet at parking lot N (parking lot 13 in google maps).
