Meet You in the Aura Garden: Watercolor & Aura Event
About this Event
You are invited to an evening for watercolor and creativity in the aura garden.
"My body is a house of flowers - I am most fragrant in June" - Emory Hall
Color is the oldest language we have. Long before words, we knew what a sunset meant. We knew what to feel when we saw the first green of spring, the gold of late afternoon, the deep blue of a sky just before dark. Flowers are exploding with unique color and their own personality, just like YOU.
The Aura Garden is an evening-long exploration of color: the colors of a Colorado flower farm at golden hour, the color of your own aura captured on film, and the colors you choose to paint on a silk scarf with your own hand. It’s an invitation to gather with other women inside a cozy glass greenhouse, surrounded by stems and light, and remember that creativity is one of the most ancient and powerful portals we have for joy, for self-expression, for community, for coming back to yourself.
Science agrees. Forty-five minutes of making art lowers cortisol by 75%, regardless of skill level. You don’t have to be good at this. We are creating for the joy of it.
MEET YOUR HOSTS:
Jacki Carr is a community designer, artist and facilitator who brings women together to remember themselves, connect deeply, and express fully. She’ll be co-holding the evening with Kimothy, guiding the opening, the closing circle, and the spaces in between.
Kimothy Joy is a Denver-based watercolor artist, hand-letterer, and HarperCollins-published author of That’s What She Said and Extraordinary Wing Women. She believes creativity is good for your health and that most of us have forgotten that.
Ignite Your Aura is Denver’s premier aura photography experience, capturing the energetic colors that surround each of us at a given moment in time.
What the evening looks like:
You’ll arrive at Yetman Farms in the late afternoon, just as the light is starting to soften across the fields. Inside the greenhouse, creativity awaits you alongside long tables set with silk, brushes, and color.
The aura photographer from Ignite Your Aura is set up inside for dark room vibes to capture your energy in color. You’ll have your aura captured on a polaroid, the dominant color is yours to carry through the evening, a portrait of how your energy is showing up right now.
When the group gathers, we’ll guide you through a simple invitation: look at your aura. Look at the flowers around you. Notice which colors are pulling you, the ones you want to amplify, the ones you want to express, the ones that feel like you right now. From those colors, you’ll choose your palette.
Then you’ll paint on a silk scarf using watercolor-like silk paints, with the fresh stems all around you as your inspiration. The painting itself becomes a kind of meditation: soft music, the smell of cut flowers, a Colorado breeze, the golden hour light pouring through the greenhouse glass, and the women around you doing the same thing you’re doing.
We’ll break for dinner from local Soup Witch set up right at the farm, you can eat outside, mingle, meet someone new. Then we’ll hang every painted scarf together on a clothesline strung between the trees. Art on silk moving in the breeze. One gorgeous Aura Garden made by and for you. We close in a circle beneath them, one word each, what you’re choosing to express more of this season, before you take your scarf and aura polaroid home.

A note from us:
We believe creativity is a portal for community, for joy, for wellbeing, for self-expression. We believe color is one of the most powerful languages we have for understanding ourselves.
