This is a time like no other in Australia; our nation is facing many challenges: social, economic, and cultural.
The really big issues are not being addressed, and there is a growing divide in society. The political class is not delivering; many people agree that the major parties have failed, and continue to fail, the Australian voter. The status quo is simply not working for the people.
A new approach - and a new mindset - is required.
So, what can be done differently? How can we effect change where it is needed? And how can the people truly have a stronger voice?
Political parties need to start listening to their members. This can only be done by establishing branches that take responsibility for who gets into parliament and the policies they fight for.
Gerard will outline how branches function, their purpose, review the Federal Election and outline the way forward.
Gerard Rennick will then take questions from the floor.
Our inaugural branch meetings will elect an executive to drive the People First plan forward.
