This month for Meet the VC we welcome Daniel Rich of MasterCard Ventures. Daniel serves as Vice President of Strategy and New Product Development in the Cyber and Intelligence Solutions division at Mastercard, where he works on global strategy and product innovation focused on cybersecurity, fraud prevention, and financial-crime technologies in the payments ecosystem. Over a career spanning more than two decades in enterprise software, analytics, and financial services technology, he has held leadership roles in product management, strategy, and decision analytics at companies including Mastercard, Oracle, and FICO (Fair Isaac), with a consistent focus on risk management and data-driven platforms. In addition to his work within Mastercard’s cybersecurity and intelligence business, Rich has been involved in engaging with emerging fintech companies and innovation ecosystems connected to Mastercard initiatives. He holds a BA from UCLA and an MBA from Santa Clara University.

MTS Trolley

The easiest way to get to the DIB is by taking the MTS trolley UC San Diego Blue Line and getting off at the UC San Diego Central Campus stop. The trolley stop is a short 1 minute walk to the DIB.

Parking

Public transportation is highly recommended as parking is limited on campus. If you plan to drive to campus, please give yourself plenty of time. You can download the ParkMobile app to pay for your space digitally once you find a spot.
