Join us for a two-day event dedicated to the culinary delights of Henry VIII’s England! Discover what the men aboard the Mary Rose would have eaten and learn about the differences between an officer’s and a crew member’s rations. Meet characters from the Tudor world dressed in replica costumes as they demonstrate and discuss the fascinating details of Tudor cuisine.For these two days only, we are thrilled to welcome a team of living history re-enactors from The Companye of Merrie Folke. They will bring history to life with captivating demonstrations, visitor meet-and-greets, and engaging talks.
Step into the world of Tudor cooking with us, and immerse yourself in the fascinating history of 16th century food and drink.
Tudor cooking, eating and feasting talks at 11:30am, 1:30pm and 3:30pm.
For safety reasons, no food will be made available for tasting by members of the public.
