The Tees Valley Mayor has devolved powers and responsibilities to drive forward the transformation of Tees Valley, covering inward investment, business support, education and skills, culture and tourism, place and communities, innovation and more. The role has also been central in establishing three Mayoral Development Corporations and bringing Teesside International Airport back into public control.
