You're invited to join us in Birmingham to meet the world's number 1 art and design university!
About this Event

This event is for those exploring postgraduate routes in art, design, architecture, communication, humanities and interdisciplinary practice. Learn more about how the RCA supports artists, designers and researchers to develop their work in an international context and what prospective students need to know about living and studying in London.
You’re invited to meet Dr Ekua McMorris (Tutor - Art & Design Graduate Diploma) in Birmingham for an in-person conversation about studying at the RCA.

What to expect

Thursday 12 February 2026, 5.30-8.30pm

Portfolio workshop, 5.30-6.15pm

A 45 minute workshop to develop and improve your portfolios whether they are ready to submit or a first draft. Prepare one or two digital pages (research and process) to bring to the session.

Information talk and Q&A, 6.30-8.30pm

6.30pm - Guest arrivals and refreshments

7pm - About the RCA presentation and Q&A

8.30pm - End

We'd love you to join for all parts of the event but if you can only join for part of it, that's fine too.

Who is this event for
  • Those interested in postgraduate study at the Royal College of Art
  • Current RCA applicants and offer-holders
  • Friends and family are also welcome to join, though please ensure they have a ticket

You don't have to specialise in any discipline to attend this event: we welcome guests planning to apply to all subject areas.

Due to the postgraduate nature of RCA study, all attendees must be over 18.

Can I have a personal one-to-one chat?

Yes! Please email [email protected] if you would like to book an informal one-to-one chat.

How to join

The event is free to attend, but please note that places are limited. Pre-booking is essential to guarantee your spot.
