Did you know that 55% of those enrolled at Wellington’s last local elections DIDN’T vote? 🤔 And when asked why they didn’t vote many said they didn’t know who was running and what they were standing for. Did you also know that at this local elections you’ll be voting for not only a new Wellington Mayor 🎩 and Councillors but also if you want to keep Wellington’s (and Greater Wellington’s) Māori ward?
Seems like pretty high stakes… so we thought we’d do our part in giving candidates a platform and host a Meet the Mayoral Candidates at Mean Doses evening!
This will be an opportunity for you to hear the candidates policies about the future of Wellington and their plans to tackle Wellington’s BIG issues (🚿🏠🚲 🚙 🚌) as well as a chance to mix and mingle afterwards.
Bookings are required (and it’s an R18 event) so gather your local democracy nerds 🤓(or come solo and make some new friends) and join us on Thursday 25 September for some good local government chat!
