Meet the Irish Designers & Makers, Collins Barracks Museum Store at the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks. Come join us on December 4, 2025, from 10 AM to 12 PM for a festive morning celebrating Irish design and creativity! Meet the makers behind unique products and get an exclusive insight into their work.The talks will be held in the Collins Barracks Store and feature Irish designers, including:
Textile designer Megan Nolan Walsh: A designer and artist based in Dublin, Ireland. She creates vibrant, wearable pieces inspired by her love for colour, life, and self-expression
Pin designer Sean from Deadly.ie Av avid collected of pins and badges for decades and there are hundreds in his collection. Sean used to be a part time portrait photographer, but COVID changed that. Since then he has been designing and selling pins since 2020.
Jeweller Cara Burgess from Loinnir Jewellery This year's Irish Made Award Jewellery category winner - she draws inspiration from iconic Irish symbols and landmarks such as the Giant’s Causeway, the Claddagh ring, and the Torc neck collars displayed in the Archaeological Museum.
Artist & Designer Gabriela Joyce Blending her cultural heritage with contemporary flair, she crafts visually uplifting projects from hand-painted walls to limited-edition prints, all infused with a bold/modern early-20th-century design influence.
Fashion Brand and Designer Shane Fitzpatrickof LATE 2N manufacturing and printing Unisex clothing and accessories for sale both online and wholesale in stores worldwide with partnered stockists.
Illustrator Megan Wright of Design Wright Her work is inspired by the things she missed most about Ireland — the humour, the warmth, and the everyday wit that make it so special. Each design is a small reminder of home and the uniquely Irish way of seeing the world.
All designers will discuss their work in a 30-minute session, explaining their designs, creative processes, and connection to the Changing Ireland exhibition.Attendees will also have access to the Changing Ireland galleries, allowing you to experience the exhibition alongside the talks.Explore unique creations from talented makers—perfect for your Christmas shopping list!
