Kay Nelson has over 50 years of experience in the field of architecture, horticulture, and the design and planning of landscapes, and has been with North Haven Gardens since 2005 - first as Garden Advisor and now in the role of Garden Coach. Prior to this, Kay had her own interior landscape company, Caretakers; volunteered at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Society; taught a wide variety of gardening classes, and did public speaking on related topics. A Texas Certified Nursery Professional and Rosemary Circle Member-at-Large of The Herb Society of America, Kay is deeply focused on turning the typical landscape into outdoor living areas, and customizing them to fit the owner’s personal lifestyle.
Lynette Hoyt’s formal education and background began in horticulture and landscape design, and one of her passions is matching the right plants with the right people who want to give them homes. In her past, she had worked both independently and for other nurseries, but feels like she has found a home since she joined the North Haven Gardens team in 2015. Since then, Lynette has thoroughly enjoyed sharing with NHG’s customers the knowledge they need to keep their landscapes thriving, and to bring lasting, artful beauty and value to their homes.
NOTE: THIS CLASS IS INDOORS IN OUR BOUTIQUE.
