For our final author event of the year, we're very lucky to be able to introduce folks to Wole Talabi and his wonderful new urban fantasy, Shigidi and the Brass Head of Obalufon. It's a roller-coaster ride of a book where two West African magical beings; Shigidi, a disgruntled nightmare god and Nneoma, a kind-of succubus have to recover magical artefact, stolen from Africa and now in London. And if the first thing that popped into your head after 'stolen artefact' and 'London' was The British Museum, you'd be right. What follows is story full of pace and humour that will keep you on the edge of your seat from the first (literal) car crash to the last reveal.We’ll be starting in store from 11.30am with a signing, reading and a short Q & A. We’re expecting this to wind up about 12.30 after which anyone who wants to is free to join Wole at Durty Nelly's Irish Pub, nearby on Shafto Lane for lunch, or just a drink and a chat.
Please remember that as Durty Nelly's is a licensed venue anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
