This gripping novel follows Sonny Trueheart, a former homicide detective turned whistleblower, on a harrowing journey to uncover a vast criminal conspiracy and bring justice to the streets of Oakland.

About the Author
Nicholas Louis Baham III is a Professor of Ethnic Studies at California State University East Bay and a trailblazer in Oakland noir mystery fiction. As an academic and an author, Dr. Baham combines his expertise in African American Studies with the art of storytelling, weaving themes of justice, resilience, and social activism into his works.
