Celebrate the national launch of It Came From the Creek with acclaimed, Berks County–born author Amy Sarig King! A two-time Printz Award winner, Amy returns home to introduce her newest middle grade novel—a timely mystery about environmental justice, standing up to bullies, and the power of a community working together.
When toxic waste starts appearing in their creek, Katy and Joel set out to uncover who is behind it. Stopping the damage will take courage, persistence, and a whole town willing to come together. It Came From the Creek explores environmental stewardship, civic action, and the importance of protecting the places we call home.
Hosted by Reading District Libraries and Berks Nature at their beautiful facility, and open to readers of all ages, the evening will feature a conversation with the author, an audience Q&A, and a book signing.
