Come meet a few of the artists behind the artwork! My featured artist this month is a small group of young artists who are on the autism spectrum. Their name is ELA Arts. They are trying to start their own business! They are making and selling "Christmas Spider" ornaments and ice cycles in The ArtSea Shop this month!
"ELA Arts was established in 2023 by founding members Emily, Lilliana, and Alexia, hence ELA Arts. We are a group of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (and their caregivers) who specialize in up-cycled art and unique creations. Local artists share their talents with us so that we can learn new skills. Our goal is to bring awareness of our skills and talents through community involvement through other local artists. We utilize the “Artrepreneurial” skills learned to market and sell our completed pieces. You can find our art for sale at The ArtSea Shop & Studio and various pop-ups in the Wilmington area.
