Join us at Valletta Contemporary on 21 February (5:30pm–7pm) for a special Meet the Artists evening with Sergio Muscat and Cyril Sancereau.
Muscat’s Memorial Immortal uses ‘Photoclasm’ to break photographs open into colour, light and shifting form, probing how memory and legacy are revised within today’s digital systems. In the basement, Sancereau’s Nothing but the Sea pairs photography and video to make the Mediterranean’s constant change inhabitable—an immersive meditation on impermanence, insularity and the fragile act of finding your footing.
Together, the shows hold the archive up to the horizon: what we try to preserve, and what refuses to stay still. Wander between the two spaces, hear about the processes behind the works with both artists, and join an informal conversation about what lingers, what disappears, and what continues to evolve.
