Join Pip McManus for an in-depth presentation and Q&A about her ceramics practice in Central Australia!!
Enjoy a photographic presentation and discussion of Pip's own techniques and see how she moved from a primarily clay-based and architectural ceramics practice to embracing public art and a wide spectrum of media.
Engage in an exciting Question and Answer session and see images that talk to the subject of process involved in video works using clay, and also the creation of ceramic tablets imprinted with silk-screened oxides.

• About the artist •
Pip McManus is an Alice Springs-based artist, originally trained in ceramics with a practice in major public art commissions. She was the sole Australian artist to be represented in the 2014 international Taiwan Ceramics Biennale, showing her video piece Night Vessel. Her work is represented in major collections, and her video work Ichor was awarded the national 2008 Alice Prize. Other major shows include Threads of Connection (Pankow Museum, Berlin, 2016), Object Gallery’s travelling Hyperclay exhibition (2011 –2014), Sequences and Cycles (Araluen Art Centre, Alice Springs 2011), Australian Ceramics Triennale Sydney (2009), Australian Ceramic Stories (Dubbo Regional Gallery 2008) and Contemporary Territory, (MAGNT, Darwin 2004).
