About Misaki Sawada
Born in Tokyo, Misaki grew up sketching at her father’s café and finding inspiration in manga, Miyazaki films, 80s American movies, and classic Japanese and American cartoons. Moving to California at 16, she immersed herself in the arts, studying Commercial Art, Fine Art, and Biomedical Art & Anatomy, which continues to inspire her work today.
For over a decade, Misaki has designed products for YTC Summit International Inc. in Los Angeles, creating globally distributed giftware. Her most recognized success is Furrybones® a charmingly spooky collectible line with nearly 100 characters and counting!
