We often hear how difficult it can be to make new friends as an adult - particularly when rebuilding social circles when old friends have moved away or onto new life phases; or when moving abroad.

Socialising attempts often mean standing in a crowded room, wearing a polite smile, and answering the same three questions: "What do you do?" "Where are you from?" "How long have you been here?" Great for breaking the ice, but rarely leading to something inspiring or meaningful. It’s exhausting. It feels like a performance.

Despite being surrounded by lots of people, the absence of authentic connection and meaningful conversations can often leave many feeling a little lonely or like we don't belong.

Authentic You Me was born with a desire to change that.

Welcome to Authentic You Me Slow Friending - our own refreshingly different and carefully crafted experience for an evening of authentic connection and meaningful conversations that go beyond the small talk.

What to expect

We do the work so you don't have to. You'll be guided through a series of thoughtfully facilitated conversations, rotating throughout the evening so you'll have the chance to connect with several different people in a relaxed, natural and non-intimidating way.
Limited spots
We intentionally keep each social intimately small (15-20 people) to create a cosy, relaxed atmosphere where everyone has the opportunity to connect.
