Do you have questions about centering prayer and whether it is the right practice for you? Are you ready to begin a practice but need help getting started? Are you interested in deepening your current practice but would like a refresher and connection with other practitioners? Join us for "Meet God in a New Way: An Introduction to Centering Prayer," as the next step in your journey of connecting with God through the practice of centering prayer.
Let praying without words, in deep silence and openness, draw you closer to God. Come to realize the beauty of holiness in using what modern contemplative Thomas Keating called “God’s first language.” This retreat follows the national Contemplative Outreach Ltd. approach, combining short presentations, two Centering Prayer practice sessions, and ample time for questions and discussion.
This retreat is open to anyone, whether you have a longtime Centering Prayer practice or have never tried this form of prayer. There’s enrichment and insight for everyone.
Doors open at 8:30 a.m. for coffee, tea, and bagels.
There is a second opportunity to participate in this half-day, in-person retreat on August 10 in Baltimore.
