Come meet Gertrude!
Gertrude is a sweet mixed-breed senior estimated to be around 10 years old. She came to us as a stray through our dog warden and sadly, was never reclaimed. When she arrived, she needed a little extra TLC, but thanks to a loving foster home and the care she received, she's feeling better than ever! Gertrude has had some age-related lumps removed, completed a senior bloodwork panel, and is now ready to find the forever family she's been waiting for.
This lovely senior is as sweet and easygoing as they come. She enjoys spending time with her people and has settled beautifully into foster care. Her foster reports that she is both house-trained and crate trained! Gertrude's favorite pastimes include burrowing under cozy blankets for a nap, carrying around soft toys, and happily chewing on a good bone. She already knows "sit" and "shake," walks wonderfully on a leash, and takes life's adventures in stride. Whether you're looking for a couch companion, a casual walking buddy, or simply a loyal friend to share your days with, Gertrude could be the perfect match!
She is residing in her foster home with cats and does well with them! She has the potential to live with another dog. A meet and greet with other dogs in the home would take place at the shelter to ensure it is a good match. Gertrude would do well with kiddos aged 5 and older.
