We are excited to announce that the legendary Emmy Award-winning director and artist Larry Leichliter will join us for an exclusive live meet-and-greet at the Chuck Jones Gallery!Join us on November 22nd from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM for this special event, following the screenings of two timeless Peanuts classics: the 1973 television special A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and the beloved 1965 holiday favorite A Charlie Brown Christmas, shown on Seaport Village’s Wonderfront Stage.
In addition to meeting Larry Leichliter, exclusive Peanuts art will be available, including the premiere of a new limited edition of A Charlie Brown Christmas. This exclusive artwork will be unveiled at the event, making it a must-see for Peanuts fans and collectors.
Larry Leichliter’s remarkable animation career took off in 1975 with "You’re a Good Sport, Charlie Brown."
Over three decades, he held key roles—animator, concept artist, and director—on over 40 Peanuts specials and TV shows, leaving an indelible mark on the world of Charles Schulz’s iconic characters. Beyond Peanuts, Larry’s resume includes work on some of the most beloved animated series, such as "Hey Arnold!", "ChalkZone," "The Fairly OddParents," "CatDog," "SpongeBob SquarePants," and "Adventure Time."
His directorial efforts on "Adventure Time" earned him a prestigious BAFTA Award and three Primetime Emmy nominations, cementing his legacy in the world of animation.
In 2015, Larry won an Emmy for his work on "Over the Garden Wall." Since 2013, he has also been creating limited-edition art for Sopwith Productions, preserving the legacy of Peanuts animation for future generations.

*The Chuck Jones Center for Creativity is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Orange County, California. The Center provides art-based creativity experiences to people of all ages, particularly school-aged youth including those on the autism spectrum – thereby stimulating innovative approaches to confronting urgent and unmet community needs. Our programs and workshops are taught by experienced teaching artists based on the unique philosophies of Academy Award-winning animator and animation director, Chuck Jones, to inspire the creative voice that resides in each individual.
