Join us for a free hot breakfast and learn more about the local AARP Maryland our local chapters on Maryland's Eastern Shore during a meet and greet event at the Dough Roller, 4103 Coastal Hwy, Ocean City, MD 21842 on Wednesday, October 12 between 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. Members of the AARP Maryland staff, volunteers and local chapters will share their experiences and discuss the ways you can get involved. Local AARP MD and Chapters offer opportunities to connect with AARP. You can join AARP MD as a volunteer and or join a local chapter to meet new people, give back, and have fun. Activities can include meals, cultural outings, programs to help fight fraud, voter education, advocacy and trips, and for many, community service is a major priority.
Following the meet and greet portion of the event, we will “Jolt to Vote” sharing voter education tips before Maryland's general election this November. A great deal has changed since the last time Marylanders voted in a general election. During this event, we can help you find out where to vote, what races are on the ballot and what to ask your candidates to ensure your voice is heard.
The first 50 registrants will receive a complimentary canister of fresh ground coffee.
