Dicynodonts are a remarkable group of ancient mammal relatives famous for being the first group to evolve true tusks. Using paleohistology - the study of fossil tissues - we can peer within dicynodont tusks to uncover a wealth of biological information preserved inside. 🦷
Join Ken Angielczyk and Kara Mia Ehler in the Science Hub to microscopically explore fossilized tusks and reveal how these animals lived, grew, and adapted to their environment about 255 million years ago! ⏰
