They called her a monster. We’re telling her side of the story.
DejaView Productions presents Medusa’s Curse, an immersive theatrical cabaret that reimagines the ancient myth through a fiercely feminine lens, turning a story of punishment and monstrosity into one of desire, betrayal, transformation, and power.
This is not the Medusa story you were taught.
Told through circus, dance, burlesque, live music, fire, live snakes, and theatrical storytelling, Medusa’s Curse follows Medusa before she became the monster of legend. At the center of the story is a forbidden love between Medusa and Athena, fractured by violence, betrayal, and a curse that transforms Medusa and everything around her.
Guided by the Fates, the audience is pulled through Medusa’s world as beauty gives way to brutality, devotion becomes vengeance, and the woman history remembers as a monster finally takes control of her own story.
Expect breathtaking aerial and circus performances, sensual choreography, striking visual storytelling, dangerous spectacle, and moments that blur the line between cabaret and theatre.
The production features original live music by Riah, with Medusa’s Curse also serving as an album release celebration, weaving live vocals and music directly into the world of the show.
And yes, the snakes are real.
From seduction and spectacle to fire, fury, and revenge, Medusa’s Curse asks a different question:
What if Medusa was never the monster?
Come witness the myth rewritten.
