MEDIUM MASTERY: Light + Color - Exploring Neon, Fluorescent, Iridescent & Interference Paints
Some colors do more than simply sit on the surface—they glow, shimmer, shift, and change with the light.
In this hands-on Medium Mastery workshop, we’ll explore the exciting world of neon, fluorescent, iridescent, and interference acrylic paints. You'll have the opportunity to see, compare, mix, layer, and experiment with these specialty colors while learning what makes each type of paint unique.
We’ll look at how these paints behave on black and colored surfaces, how they interact with traditional acrylic colors, and how layering and glazing can create surprising effects. You'll also discover the difference between the intense brightness of fluorescent color, the pearlescent shimmer of iridescent paint, and the fascinating color shifts created by interference pigments.
Then you'll put what you've learned to work by creating your own colorful, luminous artwork.
