About this Event
Meditation has many benefits, from physical relaxation, building mental resilience, pain reduction, and much more.
This class is a great opportunity to build your personal practice. Designed specifically for beginners, we cover a different approach or technique for meditation each week, allowing you to try various styles and see what works for you. Q&A is encouraged, and current students' challenges often inform the following class so you can be sure you'll receive personalized attention.
The core method taught is based in Middle Way Meditation, which emphasizes the cultivation of comfort and awareness. It's a soft and gentle form of meditation, yet allows for deep relaxation and ability to drop in a powerful healing state. The practice also trains our ability to neutrally observe, allowing us to better see things as they really are.
This class is every Tuesday and Thursday 7:45am at Mindful Space Yoga & Meditation in Upland, CA. The Thursday session is our community offering, free to the public.

About the teacher
Born and raised in the Theravada Buddhist tradition, Nolan teaches yoga, meditation, and mindful movement for slowing down. His childhood summers were spent as a novice monk in the monastery and he continues to integrate his spiritual foundations with a life in the modern world. Nolan is primarily based in Los Angeles and offers group classes, private instruction, events, and retreats. You can find my teaching schedule on instagram at @padthai4takeout.
