The many methods of meditation all lead us to the same place: a quiet, calm mind and a relaxed body. The health benefits, both mental and physical, become apparent quickly. Basic techniques are readily available and easily attainable to help you get started with your practice. If you can breathe, you can meditate, and Susan Weis-Bohlen can show you how. She will offer you simple, uncomplicated instructions to help you settle in. We’ll practice breathwork and various ways to allow the body and mind to flow together. Wear comfortable clothes. No experience is necessary. Susan began meditating in the 1990s, first in the Jewish tradition, followed by Buddhist, Hindu, Yogi and Vedic practices. The benefits are vast, practical, and possible. She’s been teaching for over 20 years, including classes at her former bookstore, Breathe Books, and at Roland Park Country School, Beth El’s Soul Center, Har Sinai Temple, Catholic Charities, and many venues in the US and abroad.
